The last rays of the setting sun were red behind her closed eyes, soon it would be dark, not like it mattered, nothing really mattered when you thought about it. Everyone was so busy trying to find their way out of here, but she didn't care. Why should she? She had nothing to leave for. Nothing and no one waiting for her, no one that cared about her. Here she had a room, food, and basically anything she wanted. These people didn't know a good thing when they saw it. Sure, some of them had something to get out of here for and if that was the case, fine, go on. Good luck to them. It was getting dark now as she sat out there on the lawn chair, stretched out. She wondered if got cold out here at night. She hadn't been out here at night, except for the first night she got here and it didn't occur to her to think about it. Maybe the stars would be pretty though. Maybe at night there was something more out here...maybe she could find here what she was looking for, if she ever figured out what it was she was looking for. She knew it wasn't out there, beyond the hotel. She had looked there for years and never found anything...sometimes she thought she had, but it had all been nothing...She was content here, content to sit here and do nothing. Maybe for a long, long time.
