The sun had set long ago, but the road was empty, except for the small Mazda chugging along. The gas gauge was reading just above empty, but that didn't mean much. It had read that before and still gone maybe another 50 miles…the petite dark haired woman hoped so anyway. She did not want to be stranded out here in the middle of friggin' nowhere. She scrounged around beside her and her hand finally fell onto the pack of cigarettes on the seat beside her. She picked it up keeping one eye on the road while she slipped one out and put it delicately between her lips and then scrounged around the dark car for her lighter. Her fingers hit it and sent it over the edge.

"God Damnit!" She leaned over fumbling for it and finally grabbed it sitting back up. The cigarette and lighter fell from her lips as she slammed on her breaks. She had veered off the road without realizing it and almost rammed into an old building. The car stopped with a jolt, luckily she hadn't been going that fast. She breathed a sigh of relief before bending over and picking up the fallen cigarette and lighter. She lit the cigarette taking a nice long drag from it to calm her nerves.

She tried started the car again and saw the gauge read empty. She sighed. "Damnit." She got out of the car slamming it behind her before leaning against it. Well, this was just great. She was in the middle of Nowhere Street and Up-The-Creek-Without-A-Paddle Boulevard at the…she squinted to see what the stupid sign read. Hotel California. She stared at it for a second and tossed her cigarette onto the ground rolling her eyes. "Yeah, Hotel California, can never leave right? What a seriously fudged up place. She kicked her tire and yelped a bit. Well, that didn't help. The car was out of gas and she was standing in front of the friggin' Hotel California! She threw something at it and it went right through the door. It was only a second later she realized it was her later that had fallen out of the door when she opened it. "GOD DAMNIT!" Could this night get any worse?? Well, she would just have to go after it, there was no alternative. She just had to suck it up and she walked forward and into the building.

Her eyes were instantly greeted by a sight she had never though in her wildest dreams. There was no way this place could be inside…the lights and the cleanness and the magnificent hotel that just stretched out before her…
