Exegesis Draft

Oct 06, 2008 10:38

Currently stands at just over 4,000 words, sans introduction and conclusion, which I need to see Ann about before whacking those in. But, it's DONE! The draft is DONE! Have been working on it solid for the last ... almost 19 hours (with a litre of coke), having needed to totally rewrite what I had before. Gary Alan Fine works just fine, but as a sociology text, not for a cultural studies thesis. All bases covered now, except for the paragraph on fan cultures, which looks suspiciously short - I'm not sure where to take it now, whether I'm going down the "fan community" or the "appropriation of texts in order to rewrite subjectivity" roads.

The creative piece is at about 8,300, with the additional paragraph I added, but I've realised that I need to expand my appendix, now that it's going to be a chapter at the back, and not footnotes.

It's almost done. Can anybody say "elated?"

... has just realised she still needs to do the works cited list. Oh. Frag. *headdesk* My favourite.
