RE: "Discworld" Events 2011
A notification of some dates that are to be put into your 2011 calendars (which will be the year of the Complicated Monkey!). The Spring event in Wincanton will take place on the weekend of the royal wedding from Friday April 29th to Monday 2nd. (Yes, we're hijacking the royal weekend!) Accommodation is going fast so if you are hoping to go, get something booked! (I'm not sure whether or not I can make it but I've booked a room anyway.)
Wadfest leaflets were also being passed around in Wincanton with dates August 19th-21st. This takes place near Retford up in my neck of the woods, the Midlands. I'm hoping to go to this but haven't booked anything yet. If anyone would like to bunk-up on a camping pitch, let me know. (As an amateur camper, I'd appreciate some company!) Either that or I could have a few people to stay and we could be "visitors" and drive there every day... but I guess that'd ruin the fun of it all.
Also, a bit OT, Stephen Briggs' Studio Theatre Club are performing Shakespeare's "A Midsummer Night's Dream" this January between 26th-29th. I've managed to find a friend to drag along to see it so I can finally see these guys in action -- and it gives me an excuse to visit Oxford and be a tourist the following day.
