but after seeing 3 lolitas walking into a watsons at orchard road lol i knew i had to reply.
I think maybe? one of the reasons why they seem to have a hostile attitude to the cosplayers is because of the whole cosplay=/=loli thing brewing
They just might get the general impression there is massive hate from the cosplayers to them and they just think that the cosplayers are hating on them just because they're not EXACTALLY cosplaying.*Because lol if you can be bothered to follow all that e drama, lolo you need a better hobby*
And most of them are newcomers who know very little about the anime/cosplay/manga scene? So i'm guessing that most of them just wanna buy a loli dress, wear it and KAWAII NEH about. Then you get the cosplayers who tell them that they are'nt cosplaying and the underground lolitas who tell them stop fucking up the community, they get confused. From "I just wanna wear this pink/black loli outfit i bought at sumira" to "why is everyone suddenly telling me to take that outfit i bought and stuff it"
I think that this problem takes sometime and a perhaps some patience.Give them a few years, then they'll look back and cover their faces and wonder what they were doing. But for now?
Well.
We'll just play it by ear
