New art!
It looks like I have lost all my painted stuff, so I am now putting my art on LJ so that even if I lose it physically and my computer crashes, I will still have it SOMEWHERE.
However, most of my stuff is lousy on compy, so bear with me.

And it's The Large Size, because art looks shitty when resized, I've found. That and I've never learned the secret of Drawing For Computer. Someday I must leave my acrylics, buy a tablet, and proceed to murder my soul.(NO WAY JUST KIDDING NOT HAPPENING.) ^_^
"こどこそ、僕わ絶対兄さんを守るから..."
(This time, I'll definitely protect Brother...)
The caption has something to do with a deep, dark, story that is probably hideously long, given me and my stories. (RIGHT, Mizu, Alex?) So I'll leave the caption there and be mysterious rather than a dreadful bore.
There was a passage in a coming-of-age story written by Beverly Cleary that was the inspiration for this picture. The book itself is rather trite, and Cleary writes for children much better than she does for teenagers, but one of her greatest strengths as a writer is here ability to express EXACTLY what a situation is like in only as many words as are needed.
The passage goes something like "It was a photograph of a boy, leaning forwards towards the picture. Someone he whom he liked must've been holding the camera, because he was smiling." It happens in reference to the main character, who, wondering if the handsome boy she likes likes her, drops a wallet that has been entrusted to her care by a girl she knows and sees this photograph in it.
But if all that makes you yawn, you can just take Alex's reccomendation that he looks coy and sweet and like a prostitute. ^_^
