I haven't been posting about my eye, because it's really just turned into a general annoyance at this point. However, today, after a week off meds (and my eye being healed over) it hurt. I went back to the doctor and the infection had re-opened.

If my eye isn't healed, for good, in three weeks, I'm going to the corneal specialist to be set up for corneal surgery. I was informed that if it doesn't heal on this round of medication the infection has most likely gone deeper than what the medication is capable of getting rid of and they will have to cut out the infected tissue.

I asked what the procedure was like, because I'm a glutton for punishment, and was informed that it will take place while I'm awake and there is only local anestesia available for it. When I looked at her skeptically the doctor fessed up that it is an extremely painful procedure.

Now, if you have ever watched a movie with me, you know that the one thing I absolutely cannot handle is eye trauma. I damn near lost my dinner the first time I watched Zombi. Now, I close my eyes during that part. In Hostel (which was a shit movie all around) I couldn't take the eye hanging out of that woman's face and again, almost lost it when it go snipped.

So imagine me, who hyperventilates at the thought of a mear injection and almost tosses her cookies when eye trauma happens on the screen at the mention of someone coming towards my eye with a scalpel while I watch.

... I'm just getting over the anxiety attack I've been having for the past hour over this and it hasn't even happened yet.
