Things I love Thursday

Lady's Night
I had so much friggen fun at our tea/wine party on Saturday! It was awesome. Everyone brought tea to share, a snack and a bottle of wine for after dinner. We scoured Netflix for cheesy science fiction movies to watch and ended up watching The Beastmaster and debating whether Dar and Kiri were really related, as well as marvelling at how she always made her burlap sack dresses look sexy. While the movie was on we had our tea time and I am now officially addicted to Harney and Sons Hot Cinnamon Spice tea. Nom nom nom.

Some of my friends HATE having their photos taken. :)

We had a good time remeniscing and chatting about various things. Earth Hour came up and they all said they would do it as well as spread the word further. My friends are awesome. We're making plans to get together monthly from here on out.

My New Haircut
It's awesome!

I loved my long hair, but I really missed having my hair short for a number of reasons. For instance: My hair no longer turns into a giant knot if there's a mild breeze, I can't get it caught in the door anymore, Joe can't lay on it and trap me in bed while we're sleeping and it's super low maintenance.

Groups on Flickr
I'm specifically talking about photo groups and so I suppose I'll include the abandonedplaces group I joined here on LJ as well. In any event, I've been reticent to join any groups and actually post for fear of rejection. Yes, I'm aware that's a supremely lame reason. In any event, I've joined several flickr groups which cater to my interests and a group here and actually posted some of my stuff. So far I've gotten lots of views and quite a few nice comments. It's perked me up a little and my camera and I are officially ready for exploring, carnivals, the shore and camping.

The Seasons, they are a-changing!
This goes semi hand in hand with the last one, since I hate Winter so very much. I can't do any of the things I really enjoy doing without freezing, plus I hate snow. Good thing I live in Jersey, right? Ugh.

In any event, it's lighter later and while it hasn't been warm yet it also isn't cold. Just mild. Trees are starting to bud, ticks are starting to creep up and attack dark_fetus and all is right for the official change in seasons. Time to don my stompy boots and go out exploring and hoping my hobo-stab insurance is up to date.
