Robert Smith is HUGE

Let’s see, the last week or so has been pretty interesting. Monday I had to work all day from 8-5:30 because Bronwen had a job interview. So at work my lower back started to hurt. I didn’t think much of it. I went home and I'm not sure what I did that night, I think I just chilled and watched raw. I woke up Tuesday and my back was still hurting, but more than the day before. I still went to work. When I got home from work I couldn’t sit down and it hurt when I walked. I noticed 2 bumps where the pain was. I went to bed and decided if it still hurt in the morning, I would go to the doctor. I had a hard time sleeping because whichever way I moved it hurt. I got to sleep around 3 or 4. I woke up at 9 and couldn't walk so I went to the doctors. They send me to the ER and said I had a Pyanidal (sp?) cist and that’s what was hurting.

I got to the ER around 11 and waited about a half hour to be seen. They gave me a total of 6 shots of novacane throughout the surgery and didn’t put me to sleep. It was possibly the most painful thing I've ever had to endure. They cut an X into the cist and began getting all the stuff out. Ill leave out all the details, just letting you know it was gross and it hurt like a motherfucker. They put me on an antibiotic and gave me Vicadin (sp?). I've never taken a narcotic before so I didn’t really know what to expect. After a week on it, I don’t like it at all. I act really childish when I'm on it and I apologize to everyone I was around this week.

Wednesday Katie, colleen and Dan came over and kept me company. It was pretty fun. We watched family guy and because Dan hasn’t seen it, Mallrats. I haven’t seen that movie since I bought it so it was good. Dan and I also played a few games of 2k5 while Katie and colleen went in my room and talked. Colleen left around 10, Dan around 10:20 and Katie a little after 11. I don’t remember what I did for the rest of the night, but I know it didn’t involve going to bed. Thursday I did nothing. I didn’t go to work. Friday was funish. I went and picked up my check and told them I couldn't work Saturday. They weren’t thrilled but they would deal. Katie, Jess and Colleen came over around 6 and we went to the mall for a little while. We talked to Michelle for a while and she had back problems so we felt each other’s pain. We left the mall at 9.

After we left the mall, we dropped off Katie and Jess and I went to Adams for Halo. It was pretty sick. I've never played the game before so therefore I sucked. I had fun though. Heather Brooke (he’s got a nice penis, right tom?) We ordered pizza around 11 from domino’s and gave the driver a 25-cent tip. Good pizza, I had Pepperoni. We didn’t go to bed til around 6 and I didn’t wake up til 1.My mom picked me up after I called around 1:30. I got home and mowed the lawn. I took a shower and checked my journal. Lauren commented about the schedule for the concert later that night so I got ready. Her mom picked me up a little after 4 and we were on our way.

We got there a little bit before the concert started so we started talking about all kinds of stuff. It was neat. Then the second stage started with head automatica. They sucked. The one thing that kind of pissed me off about the concert is that they had 2 stages, and instead of having 2nd stage play first, then main stage, they switched from one stage to another so when we got comfortable, we had to walk to the other stage over and over. Oh well. Mogwai was next on main stage and they weren’t that impressive. They are from Scotland but they speak Swedish… The cooper temple cause were next on second stage and they were really good, the best band I didn’t know. The rapture was next and they weren’t very good. Auf Der Mar were next and she tried really hard to win over the Boston crowd by telling them she had a Bostonian heart. Fuck Montreal.

Interpol was next and they were really good. They were the second best band that played. After them we went and saw the best band that played all night, Muse. They were full of energy and the singer looked like Billy Corgan with hair/Thom Yorke/Dude from the vines. It was weird. They were really good and I was amazed at how good of a guitar player the singer was. After them we went and saw the cure. They played for almost 2 hours and were awesome. Their music style isn’t the best to go to a concert to and chill standing up with a seat behind you. We had lawn seats and we laid there and talked the entire set. It was really cool. I wish I could have lain down on my back to see the shooting stars but I couldn't due to pain. I was extremely happy I was invited to come along and have such good company. An amazing night.

Now I'm just sitting here doing nothing. I'm probably going to play 2k5 before Katie calls. Later.
