Damn grad school!
Ugh, I was stressed enough last semester with 1 research paper, now I am going to have to do 1, maybe 2, and give 2 presentations (same presentation twice or two separate ones) this semester. I thought for my one seminar class that I would not have to actually give a presentation, since I am taking the coursework only degree plan while doing no research or thesis paper to present about, but nope I still have to come up with something, all because they want to make a happy little community of scholars x.x . I just got an email from the professor about signing up for time slots and was hoping to get one around week 12 (14 week class semesters), but already weeks 8 through 13 are filled... That only leaves week 14 - the Thursday right before FCN - or week 7 and earlier, in which I would be totally screwed as I have to have something all researched out that I know nothing about yet... Had this all thrown on to me today so hopefully it will go smoother than it looks... Right now my finals are on Wednesday and Thursday the week after FCN so it looks like I should still be able to go, right now it just depends on if/when I would have to give a 2nd presentation during finals week.
Edit: Woot! The professor messed up and left out week 11 on the sign up sheet, so I pointed that out to him and snagged the spot. :3 Now I can still ditch classes on week 14 to make it down early for FCN, assuming I don't have an exam or something that friday... which I doubt since it is right before finals.
