This is mostly for folk familiar with both Avatar: The Last Airbender and The Dragonriders of Pern. If you don't know much about the Pern saga, I'd recommend you hold off on requesting things; if you don't want to hold off, I've buried some basic facts below the cut.

It was kinda strange that he only ever saw her at night, her and her ugly watch-wher, but the weyrbred Aang could certainly understand her attachment to the nocturnal reptile. Some of the other Oldtimers might throw fits, but B'umi, Aang's own Weyrleader, would likely be delighted. Of course, B'umi thrived on scandal, so perhaps his wasn't the best judgement on Pern.
But on the other hand, B'umi had let Aang go off Harpering until it was his turn to stand on the Hatching Ground, so Aang could allow for a little scandal-mongering.
"Hey, Twinkletoes!" Toph cried, punching his shoulder. "Don't just get lost in thought. You said you'd show us the forest."
Aang grinned and whistled for his blue fire-lizard, who'd managed the long Jump forward to the new Pass with him. "Momo will lead the way."
She gave him a sceptical look. "That little bit of gold scale? No way."
Aang blinked. "Momo is blue."
Toph shrugged. "It's dark, and he's big enough to be a queen."
Aang wasn't quite sure that was actually true, but Toph and her watch-wher had already started heading towards the forest. He ran to catch up.
