Boring. All you people caught in your might have beens. I think the most boring part of this City is the peace. Yes, the peace.

There is so much complaint of the violence and the curses, but there is no actual war. Just the tastes that Millennium so kindly gives you to remind you that your peace is fleeting. In the end, what remains is blood and ( Read more... )

You definitely need a better metaphor. Blood dries and fires go out. Anyway, what's so great about war?

Blood dries and stains and the stains don't wash away.

War shows people as what they truly are. It strips away civilized lies and takes everything down to the bone of truth.

Just because you've got something as the foundation doesn't make everything on top of it lies. How's civilization so wrong?

Civilization forgets itself under its layers of lies. Be grateful for war to show the truths and allow people a foundation upon which to build new lies.

War gets people killed. I'm not going to be grateful for something like that. And -- I don't understand. What lies?

Lies of freedom or equality, of monarchy or democracy or fascism. Everything is a lie.

What do you think?

I decide what morals I have. It's not enslavement - I know what I want and why.

But if they are truly morals, you cannot escape them. You cannot easily toss them aside. You are still enslaved.

It's not like someone just gave me a set of morals and I never had a choice. I don't want to toss them aside - I like them the way they are. If I'm wrong, I can still choose to change them.

You're lying. You don't want to choose to throw them aside because you have been enslaved by the idea that they are right.

This makes my head hurt. Forget it. Whether freedom exists or not, war doesn't exactly help.

Doesn't it? It pushes people to their limits. It makes them explore who they really are without the strictures of morality or society.

How far will you go when all you love is threatened? How far?
