For once in a long while I think I can actually compose my thoughts on a recent theory.
Time is a funny thing and if one dwells on its passing too long, they shall fall deeply into a state of depression because as humans we desperately miss something that runs from us.
What is time, really? It isn't the ticking seconds on a clock I don't think because how did we establish that, that is a good way to measure the passing of time. TIme is actually what you perceive in a given period of time. Your memories and what you can summon up from a particular instance is what makes up time. If you are focused time may pass either very quickly or very slowly. If you are inebriated time will seem to be sped up, or drastically slowed down in radical fashion. Why is that?
I think if your mind is altered your senses take in the world around you differenty and potentially not a clearly. If you don't take in alot of what is around you, and you are not very aware, perhaps all the other things jump ahead and your unaware of how quick it is really moving in proportion to yourself.
It is a really odd idea, because to place time in a set and standard is to say that are life is like a film reel, when it is more like a tornado in the dark, only what we see before us as it spins is actually how quickly we move through space and time.
This may all sound like jibberish, but if you ask anyone in particular they will most likely say that everything I say is jibberish. *sigh and smile*
Hopefully a little more thinking will bring light on this, but perhaps time is something that the divine maker placed around us to make us feel small and suspended.
