is this actually possible? me, a christian?
oh my stars. i know this will sound dumb, but has anyone ever met someone who just completely puts things into perspective for them? i totally have. jeremiah (from work) is this person for me. he is a hard-core christian and as most people are aware of, i am not very religious. jeremiah talks about christianity all the time and i am the only one at baskin robbins who enjoys listening to him. all of a sudden, i find myself bringing back some of my christian beliefs that i had when i was a kid (and attending church regularly). monday night, jeremiah said he had something he wanted to give me as we were leaving work and asked me if i could follow him to his house. it was around 11:00 at night. so i get to his house and i go down in his basement with him, where his room is. he has the cutest dog ever. anyways, we go into his room (he has leopard pillows just like me--a guy who likes leopard is rare) and he gives me his bible!!! i am thinking, "holy crap." he told me that he has another one, but still. i can't believe he gave me his bible. i thought maybe he sensed that i was unholy or something, but it may be because i told jeremiah that i don't have a bible and thus, he thought i wanted one. i don't know. anyways, he also gave me an essay that he wrote last year (it won an award). it is about him being an alcoholic and then seeking god and turning his life around. gosh, i am becoming more religious when i am around him. and i don't even know why.
