Srrsly.

I broke out my copy of Reader's Digest Back to Basics. Looking into the root cellar thingy.

A few days ago, my in-laws came over, and we were talking on the front porch--that most Southern of gathering places, and my father-in-law and I concluded that, yes, in our farming community we'd be better off than most if the seventh seal were cracked open and TEOTWAWKI came to pass.

I also can get my hands on those old Foxfire books. Hmmmmmmm.

The Foxfire books are awesome. We hat quite a few of them at the used bookstore where I work, but they all sold within a day of that first 700+ drop in the DOW.

I remember being exposed to those books at the tender age of seven. I even scoffed at one entry re: cobwebs/spiderwebs as a band-aid (no joke!).

Then turned around, got a cut playing, and had a great aunt prove me wrong . . . Coolness looking back, but now I shudder to think of the nasties that could've been had by way of infections.

That's cool you work in a used bookstore. I once worked in one and a comic shop/consignment shop to boot. Good times, those three and half years wrapping up college and getting started on the teaching career.
