You know, I was watching TV today, just kinda flipping through the channels during commercials of Cirque du Solei or however you spell it (those french are crazy mothers) anyways, I came across MTV and that excellent show, "I want a famous face" was on.
Now I have hated MTV for a long long time, they play the shittiest music known to man and they encourage all the teeny-bopper stupidity advocated by Satan herself, Jessica Simpson. But, this show imparticular wants me to seperate myself from this generation.
Usually I dont blame media for the problems of the world, the way I see it, if your kid lies in the street and lets an 18 wheeler roll over him, HEY, you suck as a parent.. BUT.. I honestly believe that MTV is the cause for probably 40% of teen suicides.
I want a famous face is honestly the bane of my existance right now. What kinds of a messages is it sending "The only way to be happy with yourself is to alter yourself....If you cant afford plastic surgery, you shouldnt be happy with yourself until you can...Theres no side effects to surgery except good ones... stalking is okay..only movie stars are the happy people in life... the only beauty is asthetic (okay that may be true).. the best way to get better looking is surgery, not excercise." I mean the network that is supposed to be the most in touch with teenagers is exposing them to one of the worse branches of medical science in existance and teaching everyone to have low self esteem and never be happy with themselves.
Look, you can be unhappy with the way you look, but for christ sake, fucking excercise... if you are unhappy with your boobs, dont be, they dont matter all that much.. and if you are two ugly twins, surgery is not going to help you look like brad pitt, my advice is to shoot eachother at the same time..
