Frustrations, why does it always happen to me?

So, I talked to the principal about my reimbursement check. He got right on it. They checked to make sure they could cover my check - and found that the school district had frozen their account, not giving them any more money, and if they wrote me a check it would bounce higher than the Empire State Building.

Apparently, the school changed from one accounting system to another a few months ago, and there were some glitches and data lost in the transition, so they have not had a balanced budget amount for some time. The district decided to freeze the money account after the last batch of checks was released (the stack I saw two weeks ago on the wench's desk, I'm thinking), until the school gets their account data in order. This apparently requires bringing in some Quicken experts, and if that fails, it will require putting 5 months of data in by hand into the old system program.

All this was not known to the woman running the reimbursements, nor even the principal, until yesterday, so her putting me off all this time is due only to her own attempt to cover her butt, so the fault of no check at this point is still hers, ultimately, as far as I'm concerned. Because if she had been DOING HER JOB I would have had my check BEFORE they froze the account. I just want to kick her right in the ---.

So now there is another reason my check is delayed. If it is not taken care of next week, I may have to go higher. The principal is leaving for a week next Friday, and I know darn well that even if the problem is cleared up when he's gone, I won't get my check until he returns and insistsw thanks to wench-woman.

school, money
