Dari made her way out of the Great Hall shortly after talking to Professor Chandler. She'd been looking for either Tris or Jeremy, because awesome news like this needed to be shared with best friends, really. Besides, she hadn't seen Jeremy all day. Something about that just wasn't right

Jeremy had been walking along, minding his own business... and suddenly he had a girl in his arms. That had to be a sign... any day started with a girl in your arms was going to be a good day.

"You've been randy all day and you've finally found me and you want me to make all of your sexual fantasies come true?"

If Jeremy was going to play the guessing game, he was going to dream big.

Donning a serious face, he flashed her a smile. "What, pet? What has you so excited?"

Dari had to laugh then, because that comment was so typically Jeremy. And maybe not entirely inaccurate, but that was beside the point. Because she had real news to share.

It felt like her face might crack from how much she was smiling, but she couldn't help it.

"They want me, Jer," she told him in an awed, happy whisper. "The Unspeakables. They.. I have a summer internship. All summer. Me. In the Department of Mysteries."

Jeremy was grinning with her, even if he didn't know why they were grinning. Dari was frelling excited and that was all that mattered in his book.

His face only brightened when she went on to tell him what, exactly, had her so happy. "Of course they do, pet," he whispered back. "You're bloody brilliant. They would be stupid to not want you."

He kissed her then. Honestly, he didn't know why but it felt like the thing to do. She was happy... he was so very happy for her. A kiss was in order.

Seeing Jeremy so happy for her only made Dari smile more. It felt good to have him just as excited for her as she was feeling and especially to have him calling her brilliant.

Dari couldn't agree more that a kiss was in order. After all, they needed to celebrate and what better way than by snogging him senseless. She dove easily into the kiss, her arms tightening around him as she deepened it almost instantly.

Jeremy's hand slid up her back and into her hair, pulling her further into the kiss as their lips moved together.

To him, it didn't matter that she was still in his arms or that they were in the middle of the corridor. Dari had been offered an internship and she was happy and he was happy for her.

The kiss... was, sort of, a congratulatory one. Yep... a hungry, horny, needful congratulation.

Did Jeremy know how to celebrate any other way?

Dari was all about that sort of celebration. In fact, it has been just the sort she had in mind. Her arms and legs tightened around him as she deepened the kiss a little more.

Great news, celebrating with her Jer... could this weekend GET any better?
