Happy New Year?

Goddamn... two and a half months later! I am the worst journal-keeper ever!

Well, first semester is done, and I totally rocked it! I'm waiting for a letter telling me I made the President's Honour Roll (again... hehehe). I surprised even myself with my math mark. I was gonna be happy just to pass, considering my final exam was worth 50% of my overall mark, and since I didn't do fantastic on my second midterm (read: C+) I wasn't feeling all that confident. But I finished with an A! That means I totally rocked my final! w00t w00t! Along with an A in Microeconomics, A+'s in both Accounting and Microcomputer Applications... the only mark I'm not happy with is English. I ended up getting a B+. I suppose nothing to scoff at, and I did manage to get an A on my final paper, but... I just expected better from myself.

I dunno why I'm so hard on myself. I even admit that I deserve the grade I got, because it's not like I really put any effort into that class. I didn't do any homework, and all my essays were done like a day or two before they were due. I'm a lazy student. This I know and I admit to. I'll probably have to put more effort into my studies as the courses get harder... it's not like I don't keep telling myself after every test "I better study more, do more homework..."

Anyway, I got the best news on New Years Eve! I start at StatsCan in February! Yay! I'm not crazy about the commute though. I was trying to figure out how I was gonna manage getting to work everyday because it's in Metrotower I and I'd be stupid not to take the skytrain, but I don't want to pay for parking at skytrain when I already have to pay for parking at Kwantlen... then it hit me. I'll just park at Kwantlen everyday and bus it to the Scott Road Station... It's also 20 minutes less riding public transit than if I took the bus from Langley Centre... I don't mind skytrain, but I'm not thrilled about riding a bus... but I think I'll be able to manage a 20 min ride each way. :P

On a completely unrelated note... I had a fantastic time with Kristen during her last two days in Vancouver. I'm going to miss you, girl! You better write in your journal more when you're in Sweden!!! *hugs*

...and my desire to update is gone now... hahaha... *post*
