The 'I won, I won, I won…!' Challenge

Welcome to the Games Challenge for dareyouto_write!
The Challenge:
Well, it’s that time again. Yes, time for another Dare You to Write challenge. And hey, we know that your excitement equals ours, and now that the heatwaves seem to have at least temporarily lifted, we know you’re chomping at the bit to get writing again! (Hey, we are, too!) So here’s what this challenge is all about - the games that we play. Now that can mean a lot of things, right? Well, yeah, of course, but hey, what can’t? There’s a lot of leeway in this challenge, and we want you to take that and run with it.
There are the basics, of course: the gang playing strip poker, I never…, etc. But what about the classics? A competitive game of Monopoly that reignites old tensions between Luke and Nathan? Is Haley a poor winner when she kicks everyone’s butts at Trivial Pursuit? Maybe Brooke and Peyton relive childhood sleepovers through rousing games of Candyland. As always, the more metaphorical interpretations are fair game (hee!), too!
The Rules and Regulations:
1) This challenge runs from August 8th to August 31st. To be considered for voting, fics are due by 11:59 PM PST on August 31st.
2) Please post the name of the title, your name, and the rating of your fic in the subject line of your post.
3) Submissions must be at least 800 words, but there is no length limit. Ramble on, my friends, ramble on!
4) Behind an LJ-cut, please place the following:
• Title
• Author
• Rating (All ratings are allowed, but must be clearly posted!)
• Word Count
• Pairing or Character
• Spoilers (IE through 3x22)
• Summary
• Warnings, if applicable (IE, character death, sensitive subject matters, etc)
5) Please, to the post tags, add your username, story name, and pairings/characters. This will help us create a spiffy memory section so we can always go back to the excellent stories you’ll post!
6) Have fun!
Challenge Awards:
Once each challenge closes, your pretty, pretty neighborhood moderators will post a poll to vote on various fics. There will be various categories, and each fic submitted for the challenge will be an option for each category. We encourage everyone, participants and readers alike, to vote, vote, vote, or as the t-shirt says, die. It’s a fun way to recognize our peers for the effort and imagination it takes to put into a story.
There will also be a few awards given by outside judges. Speaking of whom….
Judges:
Oooh, the dreaded judges! No, our judges are nothing to dread. They’re wonderful and funny and sweet and fair. And they are:
1) sugangel7
2) aprilh
3) vysed
The judges will each hand out a judge’s choice award to the fic that they think best exemplifies the qualities and characteristics of a good OTH fic.
