Neat that it stems from the greek word 'Eidolon' meaning 'phantom or apparition or image of the ideal.' I've always liked that word. And not just for its' meaning but because of the way it sounds when it's said as well as the way it looks when it's written. There are other words that I hold a similar affinity for.
