I'm sorry you're not feeling well. It's really hard when you move cities, and because you've moved between the 2 places relatively often it must seem like everyone has just forgotten you. If you're feeling down its hard to think people don't want you around, but we do.
My week goes something like this and you are welcome to come to any of the things I'm mentioning if you fancy it.
Monday - quiz in basford, something so regular people just turn up and I often don't even bother texting to see if people are going. You can get a bus/tram ticket for 2.70 that will get you there and back & Chickenskin, Wayne & Olivia as well as me & Anton Lesley etc go.
Tues & Wednesday - normally in Sheffield unless I'm going to a gig or whatever
Thurs - used to be night in, but we've started going to a quiz in Sherwood to which you're welcome, we've been 3 weeks or so and its pretty easy, again it isn't really near your house, but you could get buses?
Fri-sunday - either away or in friday working saturday. Usually in sunday
I can't remember the last time I went to the arboretum or did something that wasn't a quiz! I never go clubbing, on a friday we sometimes go out with people you don't know, but again you'd be welcome. I suppose things have changed since you lived here, for various reasons I hang out with totally diferent people for a start.
ANyway, get into the habit of coming to the monday quiz.
I'm sorry I haven't been better at sorting stuff out. I don't really write here (or tell people generally anymore) but I've got alot of stuff going on myself that is getting me down as well. Next time I'm in Nottingham on a Wednesday though, I'll come round during the day to see you. x
It's really ok, and I know it works both ways, I've stopped putting the effort in really. I think having that "oh... i'm depressed" (i mean in a clinical way not a look at me way) moment recently has helped a lot I just need to remember this more often. It is difficult moving around all the time and everything's so transient, I mean I'm not pissed of with people or anything I know it's just how it is, things take a while to settle down but they dont really have time to. ughhh.
The distance thing is such an issue. To be honest when I was in Leeds I started getting taxis everywhere for a bit and while it was expensive it did get me out and feeling better a bit. Monday does sound nice could I maybe pop round to yours before or something? That could be nice i do like pub quizzes :)
yeah, maybe come and meet me in town after work & I'll cook your dinner or something. There used to be a few people coming over from sneinton but everyone seems to have moved Chris and Lee have just moved to the meadows, otherwise I'd suggest sharing a taxi home.
You may as well give St John's Wort a go, I don't think it can do any harm.
