{ooc: 41 ✩ DDD plotting}
Hello, Enterprise crew! Because there's been interest, and we need something to do as a cast, consider this the official planning post for an away mission bound to go horribly wrong and get broadcasted to the community.
Scout has already expressed interest in Scotty taking over the ship playing acting captain for the duration of the mission, so there's that cleared up. This means that, breaking protocol as usual, Kirk and Spock will definitely be members of the away team. Everyone else, it's up to you. I (or any of us, really) can always NPC a few redshirts as necessary.
That just means that we need a plot! I'm hoping for something not terribly huge (no "The Enemy Within" for example, because, oi, the exposition behind that) but nothing that's all talk and no action, either (come on, I can't be the only one who wishes "Court Martial" was shorter?). Because ship issues are high on technobabble and Scotty needs to get out of the engine room, I'm also thinking something off planet might be in our best interest.
A few ideas I've had (aka things I want to play out :c) include another Trelane-like thing; a planet and a creature like Cochrane's in "Metamorphosis; a period-stuck planet i.e. "A Piece of the Action", "Patterns of Force", or "The Omega Glory"; non-corporeal possession; or tribbles.
