Hey, your Captain here on Duck-related business. Since Uhura and Chekov have both got pulled onboard the community madness lately, I thought know would be a good time to go over some things.
One, be careful what you say on the community. Talking about your job, the ship, your amazing Captain... all fine by me. Try to keep specifics to a minimum, though. I know Mister Scott is getting help from various people on transporter modification, but talking about technology is tricky business. Check with myself or him before you start rambling off, please. Same thing goes for our specific location.
Two, world-hopping, going to visit other places or have other people come here is all well and good, but I want things cleared with me first. If you've already got an exception from me, you know who you are. I am absolutely okay with you visiting other worlds in your off-time, but I'd like to know where you'll be and who you'll be with. Only exception would be official shoreleave. I don't suppose I can get too protective over that.
As for having people here, again, you know if you've got an exception. Anyone new, bring it up to me first and I would really like to meet them as soon as they get aboard.
I'm not trying to be tyrannical here, just looking out for the safety of you all and most importantly, the ship.
I'm in my quarters if you'd rather talk about it face to face.
