About Lu--cifer

The belief that Satan is in Hell has its roots in Christian literature rather than in the Bible. The Bible states that he still roams heaven and earth. It also states that Satan appeared with other angels "before the Lord," presumably in heaven. When God asked Satan where he had been, Satan replied, "From roaming through the earth and going back and forth in it".

"According to the Qur'an, Iblis disobeyed an order from Allah to bow to Adam and as a result was forced out of heaven and given respite until the day of judgment from further punishment."

This is how I play Lu, he is not constrained to the depths of Hell. While your characters are within their right to believe so and be surprised at his presence, the way I play it God is well aware of his antics and how he roams the earth doing as he pleases.

Peter 5:8 declares, "Your enemy the devil prowls around like a roaring lion looking for someone to devour".

When he's bored he'll make the occasional deal or two for favors or souls; it isn't something he needs to do any longer, it's simply something he does to pass the time or for his own amusement.

"There is one favor that I should like to ask," said he.
"Name it."
"Man, I understand, is about to be created. He will need laws."
"What, wretch! You, his appointed adversary, charged from the dawn of eternity with hatred of his soul - you ask for the right to make his laws?"
"Pardon; what I have to ask is that he be permitted to make them himself."
It was so ordered.

Lucifer believes all of man to be a waste and would think very little if it were to be blinked out of existence. He strives to prove to not only God, but his 'Brothers', that humanity is a failed experiment and a waste. His fall came from this, his vanity and his jealously.

He feels that humans have been offered many things that the Archangels had no choice in, that while humanity gets all of his grace and forgiveness they are allowed none. He does not hate his former comrades or Father, but simply sees them as misguided and wrong. This does not mean he is free of deviousness, while he may have simply started to prove a point over the thousands of years he has come to enjoy showing humanity as he feels it 'truly is'.

He became tired of the various stereotypes that mortals held of the devil, such as that he forced mortals to commit evil acts.

Lu cannot force you to sin; while he can influence you and tempt you, he cannot force you to do anything.

"We play safe. Most of us do, most of the time . . . but Lucifer doesn't know the meaning of safe, and he never bothers to look down at the tramlines. He goes wherever the hell he likes, picks his fights where he finds them and generally wins . . . following his own will and his own instincts to the very end of the line, no matter what the obstacles are."

This is very descriptive of his personality, he is forceful when he wants something and will manipulate or push to get what he wants. While he may not always pick a physical fight unless he is dreadfully bored, he will more often than not be found in some sort of verbal spar with human, demon and angel alike.

Lucifer points out that rebellion (and indeed all sin) and damnation as consequence were pre-planned by his Creator. Lucifer rejects God's rule as tyrannical and unjust.

While he may not admit to it, he believes that perhaps his fall and all things coming from that were planned by the Father to put Jesus on Earth and thus test the faith of his followers and teach those on Earth of him. Lucifer finds this terribly unjust, but reasons it might be so as he was created by the Father to be as he is, and why would he be created in such a way unless it was for rebellion?

For Lucifer his word is bond.

"When 'the Devil' wants you to do something, he doesn't lie at all. He tells you the exact, literal truth. And he lets you find your own way to Hell"

Lu is very, very, unlikely to lie. This does not mean he will not omit the truth, however it is uncommon for him to tell outlandish lies. As he sees all of humanity as sinful he finds there is little to no need to lie to get his way.

Verse Specific

[Note:All of my verses are currently OPEN and I am looking for people to join them.]

Tartarus!Verse, In most English Bibles, the word Tartarus is simply translated as Hell. This dark place matches the term's traditional meaning, a dark pit in which the Supreme God has cast his spirit enemies. However, it is separate from the Lake of Fire which is the place of eternal fiery punishment that most people think of when they think of "Hell".
Lucifer/Satan is ruling over the main part of hell a city called 'Tartarus' where sinners are drawn and working with neversubservent and teaching needmorepower in the proper ways of manipulating humans. He is currently attempting to barter for loveslyrelost soul

Unification!Verse, The Unification Church, a sect that deviates from mainstream Christianity, teaches that Satan will be restored in the last days and become a good angel again.

I wouldn't mind trying to play him per this; being reformed and taken back to Heaven but still a bit of an outcast amongst the Archangels for his rebellion and treatment of not only the Father but Humanity.

BeforeTheFall!Verse, Since the time of Origen, Lucifer makes reference to Satan before he fell, while he was yet uncorrupted, but powerful and glorious and an angel of God."

This pretty much speaks for itself, sometimes I play Lucifer as Lucifer rather than 'Satan', it can be any time from when he was created and a pure being to just before or during the war started between him and the Father.
