On Pets and Housing

When I grow up and get my own place, I'm going to get one of these to keep me company:

Every winter, I could stick my hands deep into the thick, soft fluff and my chronic cold hands would be cured.  Plus, the rabbit could double as the world's most comfortable mattress.

As beautiful as she is, my plant Silvie can't compare.

Nonetheless, I will always be impressed by how she survived three weeks of neglect when I went home for Christmas.

Speaking of getting my own place, the hunt is on for a seven-bedroom house close by campus.  I'm starting to have doubts about living off-campus next year...we've viewed three houses so far and none of them were suitable.  One was decent, but it came with strange people in it.  One we wanted to see at an open house was rented by the first person who got there.  One had horrible smells and filthy carpeting.  The way things are, I'll be living with five femgineers and a soc.sci girl, and I only really know one of them.  But if I back out now I think my best friend is going to hate me forever, and I wouldn't blame her.

I hate to be the picky one of the bunch but I'd rather not live in a student housing diseased pit of despair for eight months.  Sorry.
