A bit more school spirit, please!

Because the Stanford Mendicants apparently can't find enough school spirit to even rewrite one of their songs for the Big Sing, I've taken the liberty of writing appropriate words to a staple of their repertoire, Brown-Eyed Girl. I think they should sing this version, preferably always, but certainly for the Big Sing. (Oh, and thumbs up to all the Berkeley groups, who sounded Awesome with a capital A, unlike the three groups from down on the farm.)

Hey where did we go,
Days of the Big Game
Down to the field,
Watchin' our team play,
Making lots of touchdowns, hey hey,
While our fans were cheering
In the Stanford section seats with
Our hearts a-thumpin' and you
My Stanford girl,
You my Stanford girl.

Whatever happened
To tailgating parties,
Listening to the touchdowns
On a transistor radio,
Standing in the sunlight laughing
As we scored three more points,
Jumpin' and a-yellin'
All around the parked cars, with you
My Stanford girl,
You my Stanford girl.

Do you remember when we used to win,
La la la la la la la la la long ago

So hard to find my way,
Now that the axe is gone.
I saw it just the other day,
My how it seems so long,
Cast my memory back there, Lord,
Sometime I'm overcome thinking 'bout
Winning back our precious axe
At the stadium with you,
My Stanford girl
You my Stanford girl.

Do you remember when we used to win,
La la la la la la la la la long ago

ETA: Also well done to go_bears2005 for organizing such a smoothly-running Big Sing!
