Is working full time, and getting dumped on, showing up to work, and taking over the fucking front desk job, opening the school, doing admin work, talking to parents, answering the phones, and having to relay all communications between the company and parents in a language you are not proficient in while taking fucking university full time Chinese, being told you need to come up with a promotional proposal to help keep classes going, not being compensated adequately, not getting paid on a regular schedule like the other foreign teachers, and then going to submit your paperwork for your work visa, only to find out, your student visa only has one week left, sorry you need 15 working days at least left on it, go to the other office apply for resident visa, so sorry, you need to pay us $300USD to have this done, but based on your attendance records for class, because we want to see how your study went not your grades, we don't care how well you did, based on your attendance record, this will not be approved and you will overstay your time and get a fine from the police and go on a special list, your only option is to leave the country within the next four days and come back on a landing visa and then apply for this same paperwork and we will do it for you, but you just spent 4 hours whizzing around town between different government offices finding this out, return to work relay the information, once to your secretary friend whose English is shit, then take a breath eat a snack, don't cry, you can't show any emotion, show emotion and lose face as a foreigner they will never trust you again, calm down, go back talk to the coordinator explain everything to her calmly, explain it again, now explain it a third time, have the other foreign teacher back you up, now have the lone super genius Taiwanese teacher help you explain it again in Chinese, now have her go explain it to the big boss, who she is good friends with, the only reason you are not back stabbed out of a job, is because you made friends with the
right people in the office early on, and they respect you no matter what kind of shit gets
thrown at you, because all the other foreigners have been there longer, but after 6months
your Chinese, however pathetic is better than all of theirs, go teach class, find teacher friend have her re explain dire situation to big boss, big boss says we need a meeting, but I have to jump on my scooter and go 20 minutes to the other side of town to take care of the $70,000(USD) school you will blame me for running into the ground, the school that is owned by the larger school- that I am constantly putting time and effort in, even though you don't listen to me, don't help me and I'm the only one with a clue and I keep going keep working, because I know the other foreigners have their work permits through there, ok, you go, come back tomorrow we talk everything will be sorted in a half an hour, you will probably need to leave Saturday night and come back Sunday, then Monday morning you go apply again, go to your University class, and then come back to teach. Ok? So we don't have to get a sub for your classes.

in another week i'm going to laugh this shit off, but it's so insane it's just laughable,
it gets better actually, at this same time, I have to do editing work for several friends-
just proofing university apps, because English isn't their first language, and keep up with
my school work. OH yeah THAT. The whole reason I came back, to study Chinese, oh yeah.
So glad guns are illegal here.
