The show tonight was quite fun. I played for nine people, however three of them were three of my closest friends, so it made me happy. I also met some sweet dudes that'll hopefully lead to more shows. On Tuesday I leave for Edmonton, hopefully that show goes well, and hopefully I can find places to play on the way. If not, meh. As the saying goes, "we'll travel one million miles and ask for nothing but a plate of food and place to rest."
Lately I've been thinking about moving. Either to the States, in the Tenessee/Georgia/NorthCarolina area, or out to Calgary/Edmonton area. No matter where I go I can work out a transfer with Starbucks, which would be pretty much the only way into the States, and would be a very nice thing to arrive in a city and have a job lined up. It wouldn't be for permanent, it would just be a change of scenery, and a chance to play my guitar at more places.
Winter is coming. Three years ago I would have attempted to write some eloquent line about a barren heart and snow drifted massacres. All I have to say now is, "It's damn cold at 5 am on the way to work."
