Boston Comic-con

   This is a late update.
Went to Boston comic-con to promote Chaotic Kiss with Pachuki since she had a dealers table. Let's start with Saturday:
Didn't sleep due to fixing my costume the night before and it took a lot longer than I thought it would. This lead me to be really out of it most of the day so I am gonna just write what I can remember.

*Honey Dew Donuts coffee and a coffee cake muffin was had. Met up with Pachuki at her house ON TIME!! (I know people...once in a life time right there!) parked my car at her place and carpooled with her. Parked at the midtown hotel where we stayed at for Anime Boston. Walked quite a while to the hynes since we had to go to a special entrance. It was freezing! Wore my leopard capri pants and leopard hoodie in which Pachuki kept teasing me that I am the crAzY Leopard lady! LOL it was the running joke all weekend.

*Changed into my Sydney costume in the dealers room bathroom. Met some nice girls in there getting their costumes on too. This was a different experience for me since I always go to the con IN costume and leave IN costume. This con I just changed into costume there and then changed out after. Once in costume I ran into Ken. He told me he was the official photographer for the con. Cool. He took my pic and I wandered around handing out Chaotic Kiss business cards.

*Around 4 got a hold of one of guys of Cosplay Nation. Met up with them for an interview. Pretty cool. Can't wait to see what a nerd I look like! HAHAHA

* Ran into Beanie in her robin from batman costume and Corey, Harris's friend while in the halls. Everyone at this con was super nice! I'm not much of a comic person, but I appreciated how social and nice everyone was there.

* Around 7 or so I went back to the bathroom to change. Some guy stopped me and asked me if that was hairspray sticking out of my backpack. Um...yes? I'm thinking he is gonna tell me it's not allowed in the con center or something. Instead he asked how much I wanted for it?! LOL He needed something so he could spray down his commission art pieces with so they don't smudge. He gave me $4 for it!!!! This is for a half empty can that was $2 when it was full. Awesome sauce! ^__^

* Got back to Pachuki's house and literally dropped. Sat on her bed and I was out for the night. I didn't intend on staying over, but by the time I woke it was 3am and there was no way I was driving 40 minutes back home, just to drive back another 40 minutes @ 8am.

Sunday:
* Out the door by 9am. Stopped at the small honey dew donuts on teh way. yummy!! Pachuki and I became very caffeinated and silly the whole ride into Boston. It was made of win!

*Got into costume and sat at the table with Pachuki. She started drawing and then inking...which got me really wanting to draw. I told  her if she didn't finish the drawing, I would color it. LOL She sold a really nice illustration of Yujiko for $30. She originally was drawing it to be an eye catch between chapters. Aw well.

*Business wasn't the best, but she was the only anime style comic there in a sea of comic fans. Funny enough the ones who were interested were little kids and as soon as the parents spot that it is a gay and trans gender comic, they start steering the kids away. I think it's cuz our table was so colorful! ^_~ hahah

* Ran into 2 people from my graduating class from high school, Ashley & Sean. Weirdness, since none of them were really into this stuff in high school. Both admitted it was a new hobby. As I've been saying, "It's a good time to be a nerd" with so many fandoms to be into now a days. It seems everyone has a little nerd in their interests. It was nice to see them both! ^___^

* Not too long after Sonia & Usha got to the con cosplaying from Chaotic Kiss as well. That is when we got swarmed for photos the rest of the con. It was lots of fun! Sonia was the lolita queen Maribella and Usha was Sydney's best friend Yujiko. ^__^ Their costumes came out so awesome! I was so happy they came!!

* Then we got suckered into entering the costume contest. Lots of waiting in the green room. Then Ushako & Soniabella and I got to strut for pics into two rooms full of people taking photos and then to show off to the judges. In the end we won best anime characters! ^___^ Sweet!

* Hung out some more then the con ended. Pachuki treated me to Wagamama Japanese restaurant in the Prudential (since i had never been! Yeah..I know!) And then to top off a great day green tea yogurt from Berryline!
Fun con with great company! I got a lot more out of it than I expected. It so made up for my sick AB!
