guess what movie is on tv right now?
so there's some epic weirdness going on in my life.
1) house-sitting. i'm here for a month-ish (longer? i'm not 100% sure), and the husband/father dude was supposed to come back on thursday and i was going to go back to the apartment during that time, and everything would be hunky dory. except he came back early (i was warned), and now, even though i had every intention of packing up and going back to the apartment, he kind of startled me into saying, "I can just stay here", since he was ok with it. I'll probably stay for a couple days, go back to my place on Thursday, and then come back when he leaves whenever. But how do you say politely, "I'm happy enough to feed and care for your pets when you are not here, but don't want my roommate for the next week to be a man about my dad's age."
2) Captain America joined the Coast Guard. And he's leaving for OCS on Thursday (in Connecticut) and will be gone for the rest of the month. And he invited me up to the graduation at the end. I politely declined, but...oddness. He also bailed on the potential date we had set up for sunday to see Wall-e (btw: dystopian robot love story for the win!), and now...i don't know. everyone says we're not dating until something happens (and by something, i mean we make out or SOMETHING for goodness sake), but he seems very into whatever this non-dating thing is that we're doing. maybe this is the 60s style where you can have these not anything dates with many people until it becomes something with someone.
3) the other cute boy from back in february - possibly gay, but wants to hang out? but also v. unreliable. he dropped out of the most recent baseball excursion. weird, adorable boy. i want to hug him and be his friend if nothing else.
4) i get to see my baseball boys twice this week! once tomorrow with family, and then on sunday with friends from work. there are good times to be had at the ballpark home of one of the worst teams in baseball.
5) i have nothing appropriate to wear in the summer for work. too bad for me. i guess i have to go shopping, but...when? what for?
