Good source of quotes, but I'd recommend "Think and Grow Rich" much more if you wanted to practice life changing or magic.
"All that we are is a result of what we have thought." Buddha
"What you resist persists." - Carl Jung
"The good news is that the moment you decide what you know is more important than what you have been taught to believe; you will have shifted gears in your quest for abundance. Success comes from within, not from without." Ralph Waldo Emerson
"Whatever the mind ... can conceive it can achieve." W Clement Stone
"Imagination is everything. It is the preview of life's coming attractions." Albert Einstein
"Nothing can prevent your picture from coming into concrete form except the same power which gave it birth - yourself." Genevieve Behrend
"The daily practice of gratitude is one of the conduits by which your wealth will come to you." Wallace Wattles
"Remember, and this is one of the most difficult as well as most wonderful statements to grasp. Remember that no matter what the difficulty is, no matter where it is, no matter who is affected, you have no patient but yourself; you have nothing to do but convince yourself of the truth which you desire to see manifested." Charles Hamel
They have a long section on abundance, and there being a life of abundance where everyone can get everything they want. I think "Ishmael" is a good lesson here, because you need to change people's minds before you can change their actions. An Ishmael 'Changed Mind' would want different things and would probably be mindful of the consequences of their actions. I think it is scary people can get whatever they want, because empirically our society chooses messy outcomes.
My last trip someone wanted to create drama, strife, pain. They did so effectively and I had to cut it short. The interesting thing is that I am blamed for this (standing up for myself) but they stated their intention to cast me out before I complained. That was her intention, she got what she wanted.
Looking at our society as a whole, we have a lot of areas where messy outcomes are desired. Even worse is when people don't realize the consequences of their actions and don't care. Someone wants a leather couch, they don't know about the cancer caused in the people in the plant. There is a leather factory in Germany that doesn't have anyone under the age of 50 working there, because after 20 years in the plant they will get cancer (but usually not before then). I like leather, especially black leather, but I'm mindful of it. I hope that the next black leather thing I buy doesn't cause cancer, and I'm going to research it intensely before I do. There are better ways to cure leather, but they aren't as "cost effective" - it is cheaper to kill people. That is not the kind of abundance that I want. :(
Scariest thought: you can get whatever you wish for.
Edit: more quotes
