-NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!
A scream filled with pain and despair reached my foggy brain and I blinked. Jaejoong. The screaming sound had come from outside. I took a deep breath before walking through the wall, closing my eyes in reflex. Jaejoong saw me coming, and we both started running towards each other. I was met with his cold embrace, though it did not matter; it had never mattered to me. I weakly said his name and hid my face in the crook of his neck, sobbing. I didn’t know if I was crying due to being raped and tortured, to being death or to the fact that I was finally together with him.
-I… It’s over, Jae. I’m s… so… sorry… I failed… I f… failed just like… just like you… and…
Jae held me tight. He too was crying and the drops that fell from both our cheeks were icy cold. We stayed there for a long time until I jumped, hearing the sound of a car coming towards us. Jae took my hand and we quickly ran to hide on the side of the house.
-Jae! They’ll get inside and it won’t be long for them to see that I’m no longer there. My body is lying on the floor! They’ll start the ritual, since I’m no longer there for their amusement, and…
-Calm down, they need the Receptacle to…
-They have it! I saw her Jae! They said it was their Receptacle!
-What?!?!
-They’ve been preparing the ceremony and it’s almost ready! We can’t do anything to stop them, now! Jae, I’ve messed-up so bad!
Seeing that I was starting to cry again, Jae lifted my chin and kissed me on the lips. It calmed me down for a moment and I was able to keep talking.
-What have I done? I was never strong enough! I’ve seen what this man can do, Jaejoong, I saw it with what he did to Junsu! His Magic will become the only Magic on Earth! And what can we do? Nothing!
Jaejoong seemed suddenly serious, more serious than I had ever seen him.
-There’s a way, Min. You know I still have a little Magic with me, allowing me interfere with the human world. It’s too weak now, and I can only use it for that. However, you just died; it will take some time for the Magic to fade away, but for the moment, you could still accomplish the Ritual.
-But I don’t have the Receptacle!
-You got everything wrong! There is only one Receptacle and it works for your Magic and his. Did you not feel attracted by this woman you told me about without any reason? Did you not see her in your dreams sometimes?
-Yes… You are right! So I only have to go in there and claim the Receptacle!
Jaejoong smiled, but he seemed on the brink of tears and I did not understand why.
-You’ll have to wait until the Ritual is done, than you will read the Prophecy out loud.
-Jae, are you fine? What’s the matter?
-Nothing. We simply have to stay and spy on them until the day they will start the Ritual.
-How will I get into the house without being noticed?
-You’re a Spirit, Changmin! No one can see you if you don’t want them to see you, and plus, you can pass through the walls, remember?
I smiled a little.
-That’s true!
Jaejoong smiled too, and caressed my hair. He still seemed very sad, so I asked him why.
-It’s nothing, it’s just… You know, I love you. I’ve had to stay out of the house, knowing in my heart what they were doing to you, and I couldn’t do anything. Now, we’re together at last.
-Jae…
-I love you so much, Min.
-I know, and I love you too, my Soulmate.
We kissed on the mouth, then he started sucking on my neck and we undressed each other. It did not matter that we were outside, lying on the grass, because no one could see us anyway. Strangely, I was not scared. I had never felt better then in this moment of intimacy; me and Jaejoong, Jaejoong and me, only the two of us. For the time being, I was no longer a Witch, I had never been hurt, we were no longer dead, Black Magic did not exist. I had never felt better in my whole existence.
AN: One chapter and an epilogue left!
