Flakes coming out of the wood work.....
Well, it seams the Gods have decided that i'm ready for the next test. That of learning how to deal with the flakes that come out of no where.
You put on a festival, you have great ppl doing advertizing and wham! the flakes come from everywhere.
So I go to a fundrasing event i'm doing last night to help raise some bucks for the festival. The store owner says hey chris, theres this guy who's looking for ya... he wants to talk Druidry. ok sure. Oh by the way he's kinda special.... - oh? great.
So after the event, sure enough he finds me and wow. I'd put him right up there with Orr. He started telling me about his teacher telling him he is merlin him self - reincarnated. But he has to relearn his path. And how he goes into the woods and sees visions of merlin and how the 21 lessons of merlin are the new age bible.... yadda yadda. He wanted a new direction to go where he could contiue to learn. I gave him the web addys for OBOD and the BOD. Gods. Is it just me...? I tend to find folks that follow British Druidry a little flakey.
I know that everyone has their own path, but geeze. So I guess it is my turn to deal. Kinda makes me wish i had paid closer attention to all those posts on the lists on how to deal with this sort of stuff. Hubby says give straight answers. To my mind though... that means I have to talk to them. That right there is why i wouldn't make a good clergy...lol.
The funny thing about it is .... not event 10 minutes later another guy came looking for me... and wanted to talk Druidry. This fellow at least had some reading and knowledge about him....or so I thought untill he told me that the book he just got and liked was the 21 lessons.
I literally got dizzy at that point. I told him the 21 lessons are hogwash and i'd send him a good list of books to read.
I'd love to hold a 21 lessons book burning. UGH....Patience..... patience. Ya right. lol
