I hope you had a very happy holiday!! Mine was mostly good with just a few problems (like my mother having back pain so bad she could barely move, me breaking one of her good serving bowls in my rush to get things ready and then last night, my friends getting into a disagreement and me getting pulled into it against my will). Other than that, it was great! :) Seriously, it was overall very nice and these problems will all be resolved soon hopefully. Well, except for the bowl I broke. :( How was your day? Wonderful I hope. :)

Yay Bill Bryson! I'm glad you're enjoying his books. As I've already said, they crack me up too. "Neither Here Nor There" may be my favorite but I enjoy them all. "In a Sunburned Country" is really good too. I haven't read his linguistic books yet but hope to soon. :)

I've only heard one The Darkness song but I loved it! I'll have to try to check out the Christmas one. Until I saw Love Actually, I had never known about the Christmas single battle in the UK. The US doesn't do that but it sounds like fun.

I first saw Psycho when I was pretty young (8?) and was scared out of my mind. We were at a friend of the family's house and my parents were downstairs while my sister and I were with their sons upstairs in the t.v. room and I was the youngest one. The movie was on and I was so upset by the shower scene I tried to cover my eyes and my ears at the same time to block it out. I still occasionally get scared in the shower even today. :) I'm sure it wouldn't have bothered me any where near as much if I had been older. At least that is what I'll say now so that I don't sound like a big wimp. :)
