Since then, I've read over 100 pages of a book each day, watched on average 2 movies a day, watched loads and loads of TV shows, progressed a heck of a lot through the computer game I'm playing, and still spending the early hours of the morning on the net (until about 3am, usually.)

Okay, how are you getting extra hours in your day, and can I have some? :)

I need to read more Bill Bryson. I read some of Notes from a Small Island, but didn't get all the way through. I just found out the other day that he's written ones called The Mother Tongue and Made in America about the English language in Britain and American, respectively. I really want to read them, what with the whole language-love thing going on. *g*

But baseball is rarely exciting. *ducks from kaymyth* At least, not major league baseball, because the players are all too good, and the pitcher throws so well that the batter can't hit it, and if he does hit it, the basemen and outfielders are so good that they catch it, and he has to stop, and it's exciting for maybe 15 total minutes out of an entire 3 hour game. Just my opinion. *g*

Rebecca -- You should read the book, too. The ending is different.

Foreign Correspondent -- Haven't seen it for ages, but remember it being very good. Yes, George Sanders is awesome. Have you seen All About Eve yet?

Psycho -- The scene at the end with the superimposed skull scared me to death. Well, not so much scared, as sent chills all up and down my spine and creeped me the hell out. The shower scene I knew about and wasn't shocked or anything. I wish I could've seen it without knowing anything about it, you know?

Run Lola Run -- One of my favorite. movies. ever.

City of God -- Haven't seen this, but I should, eh?

What's the kitty's name? I love kitties! Mine went and grew up. :( Cats are nice, but not as much fun as kittens.

I'm half with you on baseball. I did get a little excited watching this year's play offs, because my Man United hatred was all transferred to the Yankees, I started to like the Red Sox, so I actually cared about who won each game. But I've always loved softball in school more - lower quality play = more exciting play. :D

Yes, I did see All About Eve. I loved it. And talked about it 3 entries ago. :p (That's when I first saw George Sanders, and became a fan immediately.)

I know what you mean about Psycho. For some reason I'd always had the impression that the shower scene was the absolute end of the movie, so it totally took me by surprise and worked as well as it would have had I not known anything about it.

Jimmy had naming privileges with this kitten, and has called him Charl. Kenny wanted to call him Cloud, but Jimmy had his way this time. *g* Beats "My One" which was his last kitten! So true about the difference between cats and kittens. I love watching the kitten exploring the room for the first time, and his different reactions to all these new things. Aww!! :) Our family have way too many animals now though. 3 dogs, a kitten, 2 hamsters, 3 chinchillas and a horse. None of them except me have the ability to decide against getting a pet when they see one. :)

Hee! Yup, I noticed those Bryson books on your wish list the other day. They do sound awesome. Considering all the conversations we have about the language differences, I think I'm going to need to check these books out as well. Full of knowing nods and giggles I bet. :D

Yes! See City Of God as soon as you can! Such an amazing movie.

Those extra hours? They catch up with you, apparently. I've been so, so tired these last couple of days, falling asleep at really dumb times, and frequently. Turns out that 5-7 hours of sleep a day simply isn't sustainable for me. Which is a shame, as I'd really grown to love the long days. Hope you manage to somehow get an extra couple of hours into your day. :) I can't offer any tips on how it may be done except time management. But, good luck with it. :)

*eyeballs* Baseball is the only sport that matters. :P

I didn't say it didn't matter......I said it wasn't exciting. :p

On the other hand, on some level, does any sport really matter? *ducks and runs from both kaymyth and daps*

I can add nothing more to your and Kaymyth's excellent and thoughtful responses to faithx5's outrageous statements. That type of talk can not be allowed to go unchallenged! *g*

The Yankees ARE at least the evil equivalent of Man U, if not greater. The Red Sox are all that is pure and good in the world. You will not regret your support of them. *g*

On the contrary, I am absolutely convinced that I *will* regret my support of them. *g*

Check this out for Man U's evilness. The top division of football was re-named "The Premiership" just over 10 years ago. Since then, the winners roll has gone like this:

92-93 - Manchester United
93-94 - Manchester United
94-95 - Blackburn Rovers
95-96 - Manchester United
96-97 - Manchester United
97-98 - Arsenal
98-99 - Manchester United
99-00 - Manchester United
00-01 - Manchester United
01-02 - Arsenal
02-03 - Manchester United

Just imagine that was the Yankees. Makes for pretty depressing reading doesn't it.

This, of course, means that 8/11 years being a football fan has resulted in heartache instead of joy (and of course, ditto that for baseball with the Yankees winning almost 3 times as much as any team.) Really raises questions about what on earth us lot are thinking in getting into sport doesn't it! *g* But... those moments where things do go right, or when it seems like this will be the year. I think they may make all the misery worth it.

Umm.. not sure why I decided to reply to this with so much babble. I think I'm trying to sort out in my head whether I think being a sports fan is a good thing or not. :)
