First of all, I completed a week of uni! For the first time ever, actually. 3 days, 5 lectures, and I went to all of them. Pretty frightening that I've not managed to complete a week before now, but still, I'm proud of myself! :) *fingers crossed* that I still complete weeks now that seminars have been added to my timetable!I went to the cinema ( Read more... )

The Hard Word: It's on pay tv here at the moment. I loved the trailer they would play for it. It was a good trailer. (Haven't seen the film though).

You have to be in a silly mood for Monty Python. Or embrace the randomness. :P

Are you going to see the film, do you think?

LOL, ok. The Life Of Brian is on its way to me now, I'll be sure to get myself in a silly mood first. :p

Maybe. I'll probably wait till I don't have to pay though when it's on normal tv.

The Life of Brian is funny!

What tenik said. I meant to warn you to only watch Monty Python when you were in an extremely silly mood. It's the only way it works. (But remember, I didn't like it the first half-time, either...*g*) In fact, 2am when you've been up for a good 18 hours or so already might be best. After drinking. (Perhaps. I haven't tested that last part...)

Rhianedd! Welsh name. I like Welsh names. Except, I could never name one of my kids one, because no one here would be able to pronounce it.

Hmm, I'm given hope by the fact that you didn't like it first time. There may be hope for me. *g* (Not that I'll get out of my self-imposed re-watch ban for a good long while!) Hehe, thanks for the advice on perfect viewing conditions! I'll test the drinking part and let you know if it improves it or not. *g*

Yeah, lovely Welsh name isn't it! Good point about the pronunciation. *g*

i went to see 'once upon a time in mexico' yesterday, and i also really enjoyed it. johnny depp has been one of my favourite actors since i saw 'edward swissorhands' when i was about 13 - he's one of the best character actors out there.

'rasing victor vargas' is next on my list, and even more so now after that glowing recommendation *g*

I got into movies late, and haven't seen Edward Scissorhands yet. But all his recent movies, the latest two - as well as Blow, From Hell and especially Chocolat, have been incredible, and he's been a big part of the reason why.

Oooh, cool! I look forward to hearing what you thought of Raising Victor Vargas!

other johnny depp movies i would recommend seeing are:

the man who cried
what's eating gilbert grape?
ed wood (which has got both martin and juliet landau in it)
benny and joon

so see these if you get the chance - you have certainly been putting in the hours with your movie watching lately :)
