As for Zuko, there's going to be some stuff referencing Book 2 of the series, which will likely be confusing. You'll recognize the characters in question from WWF, though ^_^

4// Oof, what to say here...I adore Zuko as a character, but I hate when people forgive him for his repeated mistakes, when they lambaste Jet for redeeming himself and DYING IN THE PROCESS. Jet never bothered with the shades of gray, unless he was manipulating somebody; Zuko spends most of Books 2 and 3 waffling between doing what's right for his country and doing what's right for his father, which cost so many innocent people their lives. But no, Zuko is a main character, so we're absolutely forced to forgive him.
When I'm just a fan of the show, I love Zuko. When I'm in Freedom Fighters mode though, I can't stand him. XD

... your headcanon is strangely bittersweet and adorable.
I'm on episode... um, 13 of Book 2 now, so clarity was had! Zuko/Toph is strangely adorable in a completely crazy way :D I am aware of the Zutara-Kataang divide so I can understand your feelings on the ship (currently withholding judgement on the issue, but I seem to recall hearing it ends up Kataang and I'm not seeing any Zutara hints yet, so... yeah.)
That was a very interesting comment on Zuko and Jet by extension! I'm really enjoying their interaction in canon atm so I look forward to seeing what happens to both of them ^^
I keep thinking Zuko and Jet should make out, but, you know, that's while Jet doesn't know who he is, so I maintain I'm justified :D

I can imagine that, if Piranha hadn't come along, a poor, super-stressed Beat (there's a huge difference between cops/rival gangs and trained assassins!) would confess his stresses to Gum and Tab, which would result in some platonic Tabsex when Gum wasn't looking. Alas, Piranha happened, so it didn't come to pass.
But that left Gum free to help Beat out, because she hasn't really started to date Yo-Yo yet. :)
Okay, I'm glad comprehension had happened! I do enjoy how well they operate as a team, and I think "Lee" would work as a Freedom Fighter, but like Zutara fans, Jetko fans are loud and obnoxious. They aren't what really drives me off from the ship (my original reason still standing), but they certainly act repellent.

I've not come across much drama involving Jetko but I can well believe it's out there. And I do totally take your point about why you don't like the ship - I can imagine a lot of authors would try and brush Jet's feelings about the Fire Nation under the carpet to get to the sexyteims asap ;)
