I'm finally in a band again
I think we're calling it Discount Cigarettes. Other possible names are Asteroid, Cheap Smokes, Fags are Cigarettes Too, and A Perfect Erkel. however, A Perfect Erkel would involve us dressing as Steve Erkel and playing A Perfect Circle covers. we have one song so far - we recorded it so that Jasmine and Bill will remember their parts later (and so I can play it for other people) hopefully it's being converted to MP3 tonight or tomorrow.
the line-up is as follows:
me - guitar (maybe vocals?)
Dan Wilder - drums
Big Bill Ironfield - bass
Jasmine Hromjac - piano/keyboard
I wrote this song a while ago with just my guitar. it sounds a lot different than I expected when played by the full band. we're not really aiming for a specific sound. I think that would limit us too much.
we all agree that we kick ass.
I bought the most bitchin' necktie the other day. It's almost as amazing as the famous keyboard ties of the 80s. this is an extremely skinny white tie with black musical notes going up the bottom of it.
my parents gave me 8 boxes of girlscout cookies. there goes my girlish figure.
