Tonight at the Coolidge Corner Theater in Brookline!

7:30 - Raiders Of The Lost Ark
10:00 - Raiders Adaptation - - With filmmaker Eric Zala in person!

"As big of an impression as the old serials had left on young Spielberg and Lucas, Indiana Jones left an even bigger one on three Mississippi 12-year-olds. In 1982, not long after first seeing the original on the big screen, they began filming a shot-for-shot remake of RAIDERS OF THE LOST ARK. They filmed whenever they could, used the back yard for location shots, and fashioned props (like that well-known giant boulder) in their garage. Six years later, after Indy shot up six inches and his voice dropped to a baritone, the film was in the can. Fifteen years later still, the film has gained a legendary cult status, leading to a lengthy article in Vanity Fair's Hollywood issue, and a film deal for the story of their own "epic" production. At last, you too can witness a film experience like no other you have ever seen (except, of course, Raiders of the Lost Ark)."

Tickets for the double feature are $10 or $8 to seniors, kids, and members of the Coolidge theater club.
