Max! THIS. THIS IS SO LOVELY. And honestly, honestly my new favorite fic in the fandom. I never knew how much I missed and craved Eduardo's point of view until after I read this. Also I always agreed with Mic: deposition fic was kind of sorely lacking and I needed this. Everything feels so real and believable and true to character that I kind of want to watch the film again just for the purpose of adopting this as my new canon! Loved the little details with Mark's jacket (I had to stop myself from squealing into my hands -- I'm in public!) when Mark showed up, new sweater over his shirt and tie. Just perfect. And can I just say that you broke my heart over and over again with Eduardo silently wishing for an apology? Just thank you for this, I loved it.

SANDY! THANK YOU!! High praise from someone I think very, very highly of. I actually never wanted deposition fic because it seemed too destined for unhappy endings (and voila!) and I actually hate unhappy endings, but, like I said in the notes, this came to me fully formed and it seemed rude not to write it down. I'm so glad this seemed believable and true to character because those fully-formed ideas usually turn out to be crack. :) I'm also really glad that Eduardo's POV worked because Mark's comes much more naturally, as it seems to for all the fic writers. (what does that say about us...) And just thank you so much for this delightful and thorough comment. You made my day when you wrote it and you made it again today when I reread it.
