Ciao ragazze!!!!
I'm back from Rome! And well, what can I say? I LOVED IT!!!!!!!!
It's very dirty, hot, old, very noisy (seriously: do they actually work or they spend the whole day on the streets with that hell of traffic?? O_o)....but its people, monuments, history behind every brick, those special places you could find everywhere, again its lovely ppl, the water....oh the water...now I wonder how can we live here without delicious and refreshing free drinking water in every corner XDDDD
What I mean is that if you look at the city as a whole, it's really charming, it has that xpecial something.
Anyway I have to disagree with the Colosseo being the new 7th wonder...I dont' know, too much marketing maybe....but IMHO the one in El Jem (Tunis) was better. I liked other things there better than the Colosseo.... (and thanx god we did know how to NOT spend 2 hours in the Q under the sun!! XD
Btw, how come that in the last 3 summers, everywhere I go with my family, that week they have a hot wave?? I understand it in Rome, but last year in Praga as well FCOL????? ¬¬ And talking bout Praga....I thought it was impossible to find a city with more tourists than there till I came to Rome XDDDD
In my last post I said I hoped Romans didnt like Potter....of course they do ^^U And a lot of tourists too. In fact, the first day in the hotel, I went down to the swimming pool and I found three ppl reading the damned book
The last day was funny. Our hotel wasnt in the city center, but they had a free bus that leaved us in Ottaviano metro station (and just 5 min from S. Pietro by foot...we found that out the 3rd day XD), and back to the hotel (yeah, it was a posh hotel XD). Well, we were in the bus, back to the hotel to get ready and stuff, and I start hearing, in some kind of south american accent....
Madre: Es esto lo q te has comprado? En inglés??
Chica: Siiii (the girl sounds like drooling)
(I'm looking, they seat two rows from me. The mum holds The Book)
M: aah.......a ver.....
(she opens it from the back)
M: vaya, que interesante, has visto?
C: Mamá? q haces? o_O
M: Uy, quieres q te lea un trozo, hija?? mira, por ejemplo este DEL FINAL...
C: Mamaaa no!!!!!!
(me, and the girl with the same panic face XD)
M: Vaaale vale.....mira quien dice aquí q está muerto!!! alaaaa!!!
C: MAMAAAAAAAAAAAAAA!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
(and I couldn't resist it)
Me: mmm...perdona...si se lo vas a leer, no lo hagas aqui en voz alta que yo también te entiendo y estoy como tu hija :-S
(the girl looks at me, half panic, half relief)
M: jajajajaja tu tabién? tranquila, que ni se me pasó por la cabeza. Que sino mi hija me deja de hablar en meses
LOL!
Well, my family and that one talked for the rest of the trip and I spend my last hour in Italy with that girl talking in the hotel's swimmingpool. Strange. They were from Chile (*only* 20 hours in the plane to Frankfurt, and *just* 8 hours from Frankfurt to Milan with a Car :-S), very nice ppl and so. Oh, and I found out that the chilean accent is not really strong (what?? the only chilean I knew talks in catalan! :P).
Well, as the chilean father said, we have Roma a tiro de piedra y sólo 120€/pers!!!!!!!! (you know, the distances in America...). So someday i'm comming back! ^_____^
PS: the italian TV was amaziing to watch. In part the same rubbish as here, of course...buuuuuut my brother and I watched Power Rangers (LOL!) and ST VOYAGER everyday, prison break, and SG1.....coooool! ^_^ And after half hour is quite easy to understand :)
ETA: OMG!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!1 ESTAN HACIENDO EXPEDIENTE X EN CITY TV / Td8!!!!!!!!!!!! Tan dando 6th Extinction I, no me lo puedo creer!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
*daph muere del susto*
