Hey, I'm still alive.
So. Ticking Clock closed on Saturday, and already I've been to another audition. Except I'm REALLY torn on whether or not I even want to be in this play. To assist me, I'm going to make a list of Pros and Cons about it.
Pros:
I LOOOOVE acting, and I should probably take every opportunity if I want to be a professional.
It's good to get to know the theatrical community in town if I'm going to be here for a while.
Who doesn't love being a big fish in a little pond?
Cons:
No one who auditioned last night is ANY good. I know this sounds really really conceited, but after I auditioned, people were fighting over who HAD to go next. Seriously? I'm not THAT good, people!
I don't really want to spend two nights a week for five months on this.
I don't really WANT to stay in town for that long. Even if I did, I'm not sure these are the kinds of people I really need to know.
I'm not going to grow as an actor in this play. Either I show up everyone around me (Not lying, they're REALLY bad), or I dumb my own style down. This isn't what I went to college for.
All right. I'll go to the auxiliary audition tomorrow. If there is a lot more talent there, I'll consider it, based on the part I'm offered. If not, I'll just explain very nicely that my schedule isn't going to allow me to do it this spring.
In other news, I hit 100k on my novel last night! Yeah, it's STILL not over! FUCKING FINISH YOUR PLOTLINES, BITCHES.
