For The Stolen Earth:

(x-posted to my Ravelry reaction post)

Chris came up with the theory that the entire purpose of Jenny in this season was to set up the Doctor’s salvation-in other words, like they did with Human Nature/Family of Blood in S3 to set up the Chameleon Arch for the Master in the finale, so was the Doctor’s Daughter to set up Time Lord Not Dying for this finale. I personally, however, have been pulling my hair out whenever someone says that Jenny regenerated into herself, because I’ve always held that she didn’t regenerate, she was merely less than fifteen hours old (thank you, Christmas Invasion!) and was therefore able to simply regrow the parts of her that weren’t up to snuff.

I completely agree that somehow that stupid severed hand is going to stop him from regenerating into someone else. That’s just not allowed to happen.

The ONLY way I would be okay with Ten regenerating is if he regenerated back into Christopher Eccleston. But man, anyone but DT is going to stretch out that poor pinstriped suit!

I’m a big enough girl (metaphorically) to admit that I cried during the running-towards-each-other scene, although I was thinking, “It’s too good to be true, it’s too good to be true, RTD is never going to let them hug…..WRYYYYYY???” Twenty seconds before that, I was muttering, “If the first human the Doctor sees on this planet isn’t Rose, I’m going to punch a dolphin,” or something equally horrendous. Fortunately, I at least got LOOKS OF LOVE. Say what you will about Rose herself-what I loved most about her is how the Doctor was around her. He was HAPPY. He was SILLY. And he hasn’t really been either of those things since. Just LOOK at the goofy grin on his face when they’re running!!!!!

Also, that scene demonstrated why Donna »»»> Martha. Total lack of jealousy on her part. The whole episode, she’s just been like, “Aww, the Doctor needs his Rose. Go along, children. Play nicely together and no playing ‘doctor!’ Be home by suppertime!”

Also, way to go Dalek with the WORST. AIM. EVER. “EXTERMINATE HIS RIGHT ARM!!! EXTERMINATE HIS RIGHT ARM!!!”

I don’t read spoilers, but my completely out-of-the-blue, no factual basis whatsoever speculation is that the key will somehow END ALL DALEKS but also whoever uses it, and Donna’s going to go all Earthshock on us. And then I’ll cry, because seriously, don’t companions have any staying power nowadays? Even the good ones leave us after one season or less! Say all you like about how it’s an exhausting job, but Jamie was there for 42 episodes a year, for three years, before his agent was like, “FRAZER. NEW JOB TIEM.” And the Brig was there on-and-off for about twenty years or something ridiculous (from the late sixties to well-into Five’s term, I know). And hopefully, in my fannish little mind, the Brig will be in Journey’s End??? Please?

Also, if Wilf dies, I’m going to make something explode. Sylvia can go, though.

IT CAN BE NEXT WEEK TIEM NAO PLZ????
