No clue. I have a pair because I went to Finland, saw a pair of ear muffs I could use while running in the winter, and thought it was cute to have little felted-wool reindeer antlers coming out of the top of my head. Shortly after this, of course, I lost my ability to run, but those little antlers are still sitting there in a drawer with a lot of seven-years-untouched workout clothes.

Somehow I doubt my reason is particularly hipster. :-)
