Ito Kish

My husband and I have always loved the world that Ito Kish creates. Years ago he had a shop located in BF Paranaque that showed pieces he brought in from Indonesia. Instead of selling through design shops in the malls, Ito recreated a different world in an old house in the suburbs. Patrick and I used to go there and just soak everything in. We dreamed of one day having a house designed by Ito. Then in 2004, it happened. Ito helped us renovate our downstairs living area. The results are posted in Ito's website, Gallano Designs.

Then who can ever forget KISH, the huge retail shop in Greenbelt 3. There Ito showed Makati what he does best - visual merchandising. Entering that store was like being in a museum - with a mix of modern and rustic Asian furniture.

A couple of years ago, Ito found a new home in LRI Design Plaza, Reposo Street Makati. His shop, now under his full name "Ito Kish" is wonderfully curated with furniture and accent pieces for the home... all selected by Ito himself. It is also the perfect place to find gift items for a friend who already has everything. This year, Ito Kish exclusively carries the furniture line of young Cebuano designer Vito Selma.

Last week, this is how Ito Kish's store looked like. This week, it's all different. New items just came in for Fall-Winter.
