I'm sure you've all heard of the octuplets by now. Single mother of 6, Nadya Suleman, had embryos implanted in her uterus and gave birth to octuplets. She gets financial assistance from the goverment for each child.

She even set up a website where you can donate directly by paypal. Not to be judgemental, but... you know what I'm thinking.

Still on motherhood, Salma Hayek breastfed a stranger's baby during a trip to Sierra Leone for her charity. Her own baby is one year old and is still breastfed. Salma saw a hungry crying baby and gave him her milk. Here's the full story.

I know this might make some people queasy but I can see where she's coming from. When I got sick with a breast infection during Lily's 7th month, I was devastated because I had to stop feeding her my milk due to the medication I had to take. I really did not want to give her any formula. I received donations of breast milk (frozen in bags) from my breast feeding support group. My husband was a bit freaked out at first. But what can be more pure than mother's milk? I was pretty sure none of my breastfeeding friends were taking crack or other dangerous drugs. After three weeks, I re-lactated and went back to feeding Lily my own milk.

I don't know what Salma's motives were but what she did was pretty amazing. At least it doesn't cause any harm to anyone. What do you think Nadya's motives are?
