Happy Thanksgiving

.

It's Thanksgiving weekend in Canada. And it's already Christmas in Manila malls.

The world seems to be falling apart. I'm scared for the tiny college fund we built in Canada, for the Canadian insurance policies we got and for my parents' retirement fund. But thank God I'm just a tiny player in that complicated world of finance. Thank God that most of everything we own were bought using cash. Thank God for the little piece of earth we own, because when all the money and gems mean nothing, we can always plant vegetables and raise chickens to feed our kids (climate-permitting).

So if anyone else is as worried as I am, stop and try to be thankful for what you have. And always remember...

...that Happy Hour in Boracay is really... happy...

... that life was simple and fun when you were a kid... so think like a kid...

... that now is the best time to have a good sense of humour (click on photo for full story)...

... that maybe the things you wanted can wait until world order is restored...

... and that no matter how desperate things get, you shouldn't steal electricity and risk becoming human barbecue.

Seriously speaking, good luck to everyone. Count your blessings. And happy thanksgiving!

.

thanksgiving, thank you
