There is a current article in Inquirer.net where my name came out. I usually don't mind being mentioned occassionally just as long as the information is accurate.

Here's what I'm referring to specifically:
"Fans of Dapitan shopping such as broadcast personality Daphne Osena-Paez, who is also a big fan of Bangkal thrift shopping, swears by the good finds one can discover in these quaint shopping destinations."
Here are the facts:
1. Last time I was in Dapitan was probably in 1997 when I was the weather girl of The World Tonight and I had to do a report there.
2. Though I have been to Bangkal two times, I've never bought anything there. The only place I go to in Bangkal is Fat Michael's (yummy food).
3. The only thrift shops I can recommend are Kamuning Swap Meet and Tiendesitas.
4. I only go thrift shopping if I have something specific to look for - like a chandelier. I don't really have the patience to scour these charming places. Im sure if I went more often I'd find some hidden gems.
I wish the writer asked me before writing that. (Yes, I'm a bit of a control freak...)
Am I over-reacting?
EDIT: The writer apologized :)
