A few thanks

I want to say Thanks:

a) Thank you to those who are inviting me to their facebook. I can only accept "facebook friendships" from those who are my real personal friends (in real life). Anyway I'm quite accessible online - in flickr and livejournal. There's nothing in my facebook anyway. Those who want to join UZ in Facebook, just click on the link. See you there.

b) There are a couple of people who recently emailed me about how they used to watch me in Proudly Filipina. Thanks for the note, A.B. and E.T.! I really appreciate it. You can still catch me in Urban Zone at 11:45pm on Sunday night in ABSCBN Ch2. We are the last show of the week.

c) I'm on google alert just so I know what's happening out there. And I got alerted about a cute blog entry. He said if he were straight he'd date me... Note that I'm in the company of Anne Curtis, Queen Rania and Reese Witherspoon. Haha. Thanks!!!

d) Thanks to Citibank for stepping up and offering me a lovely card. Now I just have to find the time to fill out the forms and requirements.

e) I know most people bash Philippine Air Lines. And I'm crazy for giving out this free endorsement. But I want to commend PAL for always giving great service. Yes I fly PAL. I decided that it was much easier to fly with Filipino flight attendants when you have small children. I used to fly Air Canada (for our annual trips home). But when I became a mother, I realized that I needed to be in an environment that was friendly especially in enclosed and isolated spaces like an airplane (for 14 hour flights). Im not saying this because I think I get preferential treatment when Pinoy flight attendants recognize me. I think Pinoy flight attendants are nice to everyone. Just like Pinoy nurses. There's always that extra TLC that you may not get with other F.A.'s.

Last night from HK to Manila we were on business class (from our lovely Mabuhay Miles card, which by the way also expires... I found out the hard way). Just me, my husband, my 5 year old and 2 year old. No yaya. We never travel with yayas. The flight attendant was so understanding (being a mother of five kids herself). She kept trying to make Lily laugh - by tickling her, allowing her to play with the lights, making faces and showing her Fanny Serrano lipgloss that lights up at the tip.

And she gave me two Bloody Marys instead of just one I ordered. They were yummy. Food was really good too.
